ABOUT ME

TIM BOROWIEC is an independent filmmaker based in New York.

In 2024, he graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a B.F.A. in Film & TV and a minor in Dramatic Writing. He's worked on multiple feature films including Netflix's MAY DECEMBER, Apple TV's FLY ME TO THE MOON, and Bleecker Street's THE FABULOUS FOUR. He's worked independently as a writer, director, producer, editor, assistant director, and more, with projects ranging from music videos to advertisements to found-footage horror.

He works professionally as a videographer for True Talent Dance Competition, with previous clients including Vision Dental Partners, Healthy Kids Programs, 99.9 Fear FM, and Ten Minutes to Showtime. He volunteers running the livestream and in-house audio for All Saints' Church in Briarcliff, NY. He's served many other film sets as the behind-the-scenes photographer.

In early 2026 he was a guest lecturer for the Wintermission program at The Masters School, where he delivered a short, interactive course on the film industry and scene analysis to a group of middle and high school students. He also volunteers as a programmer for the Yonkers Film Festival.

Born and raised in the beautiful Hudson Valley, Tim found a passion for storytelling in middle school, and started making short films immediately after getting a camcorder for his 12th birthday. In high school, he wrote and directed a one-act play for the school theater program, and an original musical spectacular for the sea shanty club. While attending college in Georgia, he wrote and directed three short films and an independently-produced feature and worked on dozens of film sets.

His favorite movie of all time is PARIS, TEXAS.
